April DVD Release for 'Avatar'
Earth Day brings 'Avatar' to DVD and Blu-ray disc. Century Fox Home Entertainment has plans for a April 22 'Avatar' release date. The Blu-ray price will be $39.99 and the single disc DVD will sell for $29.98. It's a straight forward disc, without the usual flair of bonuses.

Fox looks forward to adding bonus features this fall, but instead wants to focus on the best picture quality and sound features possible for the spring edition. 'Avatar' has pulled way out ahead of the movie picture pack and become the No. 1 box office film of all time, with a $730 million domestic box office record.

The April 22 DVD and Blu-ray disc release is also projected to catapult the 'Avatar' film further into the record books, with Fox cheering from behind the scenes.
